Brian Turner is one of Britain's most successful and well-known chefs.
In addition to running highly respected restaurants in the UK, he has become a successful television personality, appearing regularly on 'Ready
Steady Cook' and 'Great Food Live' and featuring as a judge on 'Master Chef'’.
After many years as resident chef on Granada's 'This Morning', Brian eventually moved to the BBC for his own series 'Anything you can Cook'.
History:
After training at some of the most prestigious hotels and restaurants in Europe, including 'Simpson's in the Strand' and 'The Savoy Grill',
Brian went to the 'Beau Rivage Palace' in Lausanne, returning to England to work at 'Claridge's' and then the 'Capital Hotel' where he and Richard
Shepherd earned a prized Michelin star. During his period at the 'Capital' Turner was responsible for the launch of the 'Greenhouse Restaurant'
and the 'Metro Wine Bar', becoming executive chef of both. Among the many well-known chefs who worked with Turner
at the 'Capital' are Gary Rhodes and Shaun Hill who now have their own Michelin starred restaurants.
In 1986 Turner opened his own restaurant 'Turner's', in Walton Street, Knightsbridge, which set new standards for the British chef-owned restaurants – attracting
a blend of local and international regulars. In 2001 whilst Turner's was at it's height Brian took another momentous career step and sold
Turner's.
In February 2002 Brian Turner's Restaurant opened at The Crowne Plaza Hotel in Birmingham's NEC, in association with the Aramark Contract Catering
Company.This was set up as a three year contract.
In April 2003 Brian launched ‘Brian Turner Mayfair’ at the Millennium Hotel, London Mayfair. The restaurant serves modern British
food, within a relaxed and comfortable environment, quality at a reasonable price.
January 2005 saw the launch of Turner's Grill at The Copthorne Hotel Slough-Windsor, a 36 seater restaurant serving simple, honest food.
Brian's current working life allows him to present himself on various
fronts - at his restaurants, food festivals & events around the country
and abroad, consultancy and the media.
Despite his hectic schedule, Brian still manages to be heavily committed to various charities.
Awards and Honours:
On June 15th 2002 in the Queen's Birthday Honours Brian was awarded a CBE for his services to tourism and training in the catering industry,
